In the early hours of Sunday morning, former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion, Tony Ferguson, found himself in a world of trouble with law enforcement after getting busted for DUI. The legendary fighter was no match for the cops as he crashed his pickup truck into not one but two parked cars outside a Hollywood club just before 2 AM.
The impact was so severe that Ferguson’s truck flipped on its side, but miraculously he was not injured, and neither was anyone else. According to sources, Tony refused to take a field sobriety test and was described as “very uncooperative” at the scene.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ Sports that the cops who arrived at the scene observed that Tony reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. Based on this evidence, Tony was arrested on the spot and is now facing misdemeanor DUI charges.
In addition to the DUI charges, Tony is also looking at a potential license suspension for refusing to take the field sobriety test. It’s a tough pill to swallow for the former champion who has had his fair share of ups and downs in recent times.
Adding insult to injury, rapper Cash Gotti, the owner of one of the vehicles Tony allegedly hit, came out of the club to find his beloved Mercedes destroyed.
