Across The Pond Profile: PFL MMA fighter Denzel Freeman

Despite its relatively small sample size on paper, the PFL MMA Challenger Series continues to deliver action-packed prospects in the regular season and playoffs. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a bloodhound of bruising force ready to bring his Georgia lightning to the promotion. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2017 and representing Blackzilans, Denzel Freeman holds an undefeated 4-0 record comprised of three knockouts and one decision. Freeman has fought for Titan Fighting Championship and PFL MMA. The majority of Freeman’s victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside the distance. He is 1-0 under the PFL MMA banner with one finish under his belt for the organization. Freeman has finished three out of his four wins during his time in the professional ranks. He has gone to the scorecards once during his pro career. Freeman has two first-round finishes and one second-round finish through four professional appearances thus far. All three of his finishes have come within two rounds.

In his MMA debut at Titan FC 47, he defeated Devaun McKoy via technical knockout in the second round. Freeman defeated Gustavo Trujillo via a split decision at Titan FC 49 to earn his first and only decision win as a professional. Then at Titan FC 70, he defeated Duane Crespo via TKO in round one to secure win number three under the Titan FC banner.

In the final event of the PFL MMA Challenger Series second season, Freeman defeated Raiden Kovacs via technical knockout in the first round.  The win earned Freeman the third knockout victory of his professional career in addition to a PFL MMA contract. He also extended his unbeaten streak to four to begin his professional career in the process. Freeman’s knockouts can hit like thunder but strike like lightning if opponents throw caution to the winds!
