Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Jack Jenkins

The UFC‘S annual ventures to the land down under have created a pipeline of boomerangs that possess plenty of Australian zip. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a blistering outback howler whose blunt intentions have dangerous consequences for future featherweight opposition. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2016 and representing Absolute Mixed Martial Arts, Jack Jenkins owns an 11-2 record in 13 contests as a professional comprised of five knockouts, three submissions and three decisions. Jenkins secured his contract from the UFC on week 10 during the sixth season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2022. He fought for numerous organizations in his home nation of Australia including Eternal MMA and Hex Fight Series prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC 284 in February 2023. Jenkins has finished eight out of his 11 victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter and is 1-0 under the UFC banner.

In his MMA debut, he submitted Alan Hartley in the first round via triangle choke. Jenkins defeated his next two opponents via technical knockout in Jordan Wallace and George Millaras. Then at Hex Fight Series 18, he defeated Robby Lara via unanimous decision.  Jenkins tapped out Naoya Uchibayashi in round one via rear-naked choke at Hex Fight Series 19.  He submitted Deigo Pereira via rear-naked choke in the fourth round in his promotional debut with Eternal MMA at Eternal MMA 52. At Eternal MMA 57 Jenkins defeated Jessie Medina via technical knockout in round two. He defeated Jason Petropoulos via TKO in the second round at Rouge MMA 1. Jenkins defeated Rod Costa via unanimous decision at Eternal MMA 64. He defeated Freddy Emilano Linares at DWTNCS week 10 of season six via technical knockout in round three to earn his fifth knockout win as a professional in addition to a UFC contract.

In his debut outing with the UFC on the preliminary card of UFC 284, he defeated Don Shannis via unanimous decision. The victory earned Jenkins the second decision win of his professional career along with his first UFC victory. Jenkins keen sense for the finish is like a vulture circling wounded prey!
