Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Aaron Johnson

Venturing into enemy territory can work in a fighter’s favor if all the right cards are out on the table in terms of preparation and fight execution. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a knight of vigorous valor ready to bask in the gladiator’s villa and be the lightweight lance carrier for Cage Warriors. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2015 and representing Rio Grappling Club Manchester, Aaron Johnson owns a 7-3 record in 10 professional bouts comprised of four knockouts, two submissions and one decision. Johnson fought for various promotions including Full Contact Contender prior to debuting with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 146 in November 2022. The majority of Johnson’s victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside the distance. He has finished six out of his seven wins during his time in the professional ranks. Johnson has only gone to the scorecards once during his pro career, sweeping it clean across the board in that one and only instance.

In his MMA debut at ICE Fighting Championships 6, he defeated Easton Hanson via technical knockout in round one. Johnson defeated Alex Masuku via unanimous decision at ICE Fighting Championships 18. He defeated Tom Pedreno via technical knockout in the first round. Johnson submitted Percy Hess in round one via rear-naked choke at Celtic Gladiator 19. He defeated Ross Coe via TKO in the second round at ICE Fighting Championships 21. Johnson tapped out Eliot Jenkins in round one at Kingdom Combat Championship to earn his second submission win as a professional.

At Full Contact Contender 29, he defeated Jamie Lee via technical knockout in the third round. The victory earned Johnson the fourth knockout win of his professional career. No matter how big the hype train, Johnson always slays the dragon whether on the road or in the comfort of his own backyard!
