Across The Pond profile Cage Warriors fighter Dumitru Girlean

When it comes to Cage Warriors, making a memorable first impression is the quickest way that a prospect can set themselves apart from others when a divisional log jam occurs with a queue lined from end to end for the purpose of positioning. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a mesmerizer of Vulcan’s flame ready to send lightweights into the volcanic depths as the organization heads to the gladiatorial battlegrounds of Rome for the second time in 2023. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2018 and representing Fight House Verona, Dumitru Girlean owns a 6-1 record in seven contests comprised of four knockouts and two submissions. He has finished all six of his victories during his time in the professional ranks. Girlean has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. He is 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with one finish under his belt for the promotion.

In his MMA debut, he tapped out Francesco Labellarte in the first round via rear-naked choke. Girlean also defeated Bassirou Diop via TKO in round one at seconds out bandit’s MMA 3. Then at The Golden Cage 3, he knocked out Simone Patrizi in the first round. Girlean defeated Oleg Ursoi via technical knockout in round two at Slam FC Underdog 4. He submitted Davide Gregorio La Torre via front choke in the first round at Venator FC 10 to earn his second submission win as a professional.

In his promotional debut with Cage Warriors on the main card of Cage Warriors 152, Girlean knocked out Adam Cullen in round three. The victory earned Girlean the fourth knockout win of his professional career in addition to picking up win number one under the Cage Warriors banner in the process. Girlean is one gladiator that lives and dies by the sword!
