Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Angus Hewitt

Many of Cage Warrior’s regional academy champions have gone on to grab the professional ranks by the horns and have ridden a momentous wave straight to the UFC‘S doorstep. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the newest member of the academy marksman line ready to pick off prospective opposition for the promotion at middleweight. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2023 and representing Silverbacks MMA, Angus Hewitt owns a 1-1 record with his only win coming via technical knockout. Hewitt has spent his entire career as a professional MMA fighter with Cage Warriors so far. He is 1-1 under the Cage Warriors banner with one finish under his belt in two appearances with the organization. Hewitt has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career during his time in the professional ranks with a single second-round finish in addition to a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. The one and only finish during Hewitt’s pro career has been inside the distance. Hewitt fought for Cage Warriors Academy Southeast and Fightstar Championship as a amateur before heading to the professional ranks this year at Cage Warriors 153.

In his second appearance with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 157, he faced Connor Hayes and went on to defeat him via technical knockout in the second round. The win earned Hewitt the first knockout victory of his professional career. He also picked up victory number one under the Cage Warriors banner in the process along with securing his first finish as a professional. With a murderer’s row at 185 pounds, Hewitt is not a hired henchman but a contractual enforcer who always reads the fine print before the ink even dries so there can be no chances at double crossing when payment needs to be rendered!
