Jake Paul Defeats Nate Diaz in a Unanimous Decision Marking His 7th Professional Boxing Win

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Real Fight Inc’s (RFI) Paul vs Diaz Pay-Per-View event was electrifying from start to finish. In the main event, Jake “The Problem Child” Paul (7-1, 5KO’s) put on a show as he defeated the combat sports icon, Nate Diaz. Paul’s unanimous decision win over Diaz rocked the sold out American Airlines Center as fans went wild. Most Valuable Promotions cleaned house as each of its fighters took home a victory, including seven-weight boxing world champion and undisputed featherweight world champion Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano (45-2-1) who has defended her titled as undisputed champion against Heather “The Heat” Hardy(24-3, 4 KOs). 

 

Jake Paul earns his 7th professional boxing win against Nate Diaz after the two settled their long standing rivalry in a 10-round faceoff. In a unanimous decision victory (97-92, 98-91, 98-91), Paul knocked down Diaz early in the fight, with a vicious left hook, as the two 185 lb fighters traded a furious series of blows back and forth across rounds. Paul showcased his new, advanced repertoire as he proved his continued growth as a fighter, while Diaz showed off his skill in his first professional boxing bout, taking Paul the full distance.

 

MVP’s Amanda Serrano electrified the crowd, earning a unanimous decision win (99-91, 100-90, 100-90) over former WBO featherweight title holder Heather Hardy after an exhilarating 10 round blood-soaked battle, retaining her title as undisputed champion. Serrano and Hardy have had nothing but respect and kind words for each other, but once they entered the ring, both women went to war. Serrano gave a dominating performance with a barrage of punches in her classic style, while Hardy showed grit and heart, hanging on until the final bell. The two shared a sentimental moment in the ring following the fight as they expressed their appreciation for one another and their hope to continue growing the sport of women’s boxing. 

 

RFI’s Chris Avila (4-1) overtook Jeremy “Lil Heathen” Stephens (0-1-1) in a unanimous decision victory (59-55, 59-55, 60-54) as the two super middleweight combat sports veterans went head-to-head. Avila handed Stephens his first professional loss, putting forth a dominating performance in just his fifth professional bout as he controlled much of the action for six rounds. 

 

MVP’s undefeated lightweight H2O Sylve (10-0, 9KOs) brought the American Airlines Center to its feet with multiple thunderous body shots, knocking out the more experienced veteran lightweight William “Baby Face” Dos Santos Silva(30-5, 18 KOs) in the fourth round. The rising star earned the title of ESPN Ringside’s 2022 prospect of the year and proved his strength and dominating power against Silva as he celebrated with his patented griddy in the ring.

 

MVP’s Shadasia “The Sweet Terminator” Green (13-0, 11 KOs) also earned a decisive victory by unanimous decision (99-91, 100-90, 100-89) over Olivia Curry (7-2, 2 KOs). The two super middleweight powerhouses put on an unforgettable matchup as fans went wild over the nonstop action. The win cements Green’s next fight against Savannah Marshall as mandatory challenger for the undisputed super middleweight title.

 

Alan Sanchez (23-1, 10 KOs) also took home a notable win tonight as he was victorious over Angel Beltran Villa (17-2, 10 KOs) in a unanimous decision win (77-75, 78-74, 79-73). The two welterweight fighters went toe to toe until the final bell, showcasing their agility and skills over the full eight rounds.  

 

In an action-packed preliminary card, Luciano Ramos defeated Cee Jay Hamilton in a unanimous decision(40-36, 40-36, 39-37), Jose Aguayo beat Noel Cavazos in a majority decision (38-38, 39-37. 39-37), and Kevin Newman II took down Quilisto Madera in a unanimous decision (80-71, 79-72, 79-72). 

 

Most Valuable Promotions, founded by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, and Real Fight, Inc., founded by Diaz, partnered to bring Paul vs. Diaz to global audiences. The strategic partnership combined the star power and international reach of both fighters to promote the year’s biggest fight. The event was presented by Celsius Essential Energy drinks and was distributed globally by DAZN PPV. In an unprecedented agreement, MVP and DAZN also partnered with ESPN and Top Rank to bring Paul vs. Diaz to audiences on ESPN+ PPV in the United States in addition to DAZN PPV. In the US and Canada, Paul vs. Diaz was also available on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers.
