Alex Pereira Inducted into the GLORY Hall of Fame

GLORY is thrilled to officially welcome former two-division champion, Alex Pereira, into the GLORY Hall of Fame.

The Brazilian is one of the most decorated fighters to ever compete in the GLORY ring. His list of accomplishments includes the GLORY 14 middleweight contender tournament winner, GLORY middleweight champion, the most title defenses in GLORY middleweight history, and GLORY light heavyweight champion.

Overall, he posted a record of 11-4 in GLORY and competed in the organisation across seven years. After which, he became a true trailblazer in the UFC, winning the middleweight title there from Israel Adesanya, and is now attempting to capture the light heavyweight title.

“Alex Pereira was one of the greatest champions in GLORY history,” said Scott Rudmann, co-founder and Vice Chairman of GLORY. “His accomplishments in the GLORY ring speaks for themselves, as the only man ever hold the champions belt in two weight classes simultaneously. Alex continues to make huge waves in combat sports with his successful shift to MMA, and he continues to bring awareness back to stand-up combat. He devotes time and money to community service in his home country of Brazil, and he is a wonderful guy, always humble about his enormous accomplishments. We’re proud to have in the GLORY Hall of Fame.”

Pereira joins other GLORY legends “Bazooka” Joe Valtellini and Semmy Schilt as the third official inductee into the GLORY Hall of Fame.”

The induction took place at the historic GLORY COLLISION 6 on Saturday evening, November 4, at the GelreDome in front of over 20,000 fans in attendance in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
