Across The Pond Profile: Oktagon MMA fighter Hascen Neri Gelezi

The world of mixed martial arts often acts as a safe haven for those that seek shelter from the harsh realities of life’s changing storm. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to the latest lancer of light ready to flood Oktagon MMA with positive hope. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2018 and representing GB Top Team, Hascen Neri Gelezi owns a 5-1 record in six contests comprised of four knockouts and one decision. The majority of his wins over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have been inside the distance. Gelezi is 1-0 under the Oktagon MMA banner. He has gone to the scorecards a single time during his professional career sweeping them clean across the board in that instance. Gelezi has fought for various organizations during his tenure as a professional mixed martial artist including Fusion Fighting Championship and Olympus Fight Series.

In his MMA debut at Fusion Fighting Championship 27, he faced John Spencer and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Gelezi defeated Jack Scott via technical knockout in round one at Fusion Fighting Championship 31. Then at Supreme Cage Fighting Championships 14, he defeated Mickey Miller via TKO in the first round. Gelezi defeated Craig Mcintosh via technical knockout in round four in the main event of Olympus Fight Series 1 to earn his fourth knockout win as a professional.

In his promotional debut with Oktagon MMA in the opening bout of Oktagon 48, he defeated Aaron McDonald via unanimous decision. The victory secured Gelezi the first and only decision win of his professional career along with his first victory under the Oktagon MMA banner in the process. At 5-1, facing off against Gelezi is like learning to cook a full course feast where ill prepared opponents are the main meal!
