Cage Warriors is back this weekend at the indigo at the O2 with an action-packed event, Cage Warriors 163. It’s the perfect lead-up to Tom Aspinall’s bid for the interim heavyweight title at UFC 295, and fans are buzzing with excitement.
Main Event: Omiel Brown vs. Giannis Bachar for the Vacant Welterweight Title
In the spotlight of London, Team Renegade KO fighter Omiel Brown, a training partner of UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, is set for his first-ever Cage Warriors main event. He’s facing off against the Greek powerhouse Giannis Bachar, and the stakes are high with the vacant welterweight title on the line.
Two Rising Stars Collide
Omiel Brown brings a formidable reputation to the cage, with all eight of his pro fights happening under the Cage Warriors banner. Bachar, on the other hand, rides a seven-fight unbeaten streak into the octagon, with six of those victories ending within the distance. Expect fireworks in this title clash!
Co-Main Event Shuffle
The previously announced co-main event featuring Darren Stewart and Edilson França is no longer on the card, as França had to withdraw due to visa complications. However, fans can look forward to a new showdown in the making for CW 164 on November 25th.
Changes in the Fight Card
Unfortunately, the bantamweight bout between Awa Sow and Sinéadh Ní Nualláin had to be removed from the card as Sow wasn’t medically cleared to compete. Shaun Fraser also withdrew from his bout against Tariq Pell. But don’t worry, fight fans! Michael Blair, who was initially set for CW 164 in Newcastle, has stepped up to face Pell in an exciting 161lb catchweight bout.
