Across The Pond Profile: Gage Mitchell of Hayes MMA

When a fighter begins their professional journey, they tend to stick close to the comfort zone of a home state before they make road trips across territorial lines because they often have a point to prove to wider audiences and end up pushing themselves farther than they ever could do on their own without a safety net to cushion the professional transition. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a Bluegrass yowler showing promise and flashing claws when it comes to being the best boss in Midwestern MMA circles. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2023 and representing Hayes MMA under head coach Troy Hayes, Gage Mitchell holds a 2-0 record comprised of one submission and one knockout. He has fought for several promotions during his career inside the professional MMA ranks including Anthony Pettis Fighting Championship. Mitchell has never gone to the scorecards at any point in his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to back it up. He has secured a finish in each of his professional appearances. Both of Mitchell’s finishes over the course of his career as a professional mixed martial artist have come before the final bell.

In his professional MMA debut at SICP 4, he faced Seth Basler and defeated him via TKO in round one to score his first knockout win as a professional. Then in the co-main event of Anthony Pettis Fighting Championship 10 Indiana Fight Night 3, Mitchell submitted Angelo Pettis via triangle choke in the third round. The win earned Mitchell the first submission victory of his professional career in addition to his first victory under the APFC banner. He also picked up back-to-back wins to begin his professional career in the process. Those who fail to adequately prepare against Mitchell are destined to revert all the way back to beginning levels!
