CW 188: Dublin Weigh-In Results

The scales have spoken in Dublin! All eyes were on the Sandymount Hotel this Thursday morning as the athletes for Cage Warriors 188 hit the scales, with less than 24 hours remaining until fight night.

Good news for the championship bouts as both main event fighters successfully made weight. Challenger Justin Burlinson stepped on the scale at 169.4 lbs, ready for his second shot at CW welterweight gold. He will face the reigning champion, James Sheehan, who weighed in at 168.1lbs and is set to make his highly anticipated return after a year on the sidelines.

The co-main event light-heavyweight title clash is also good to go. Dublin’s own James Webb, representing Team KF, weighed 204.6lbs as he prepared to defend his strap against Brazil’s John Allan, who came in comfortably under the limit at 202.8lbs.

The only hiccup on the scales came from late addition Marcus Vinicius Ferreira, who weighed in at 127.7lbs for his flyweight contest against Ger Harris (125.7lbs). Ferreira opted not to undergo further weight cutting. The bout will still proceed as planned, with Ferreira facing a financial penalty.
