After a seven-fight run with the UFC, Tom Watson joins the stacked Cage Warriors Welterweight division and will make his debut at CW104 on April 27th.

One of the UK’s most exciting MMA stars is back in action.

Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan announced in a tweet earlier this week that “the welterweight shark tank has a new resident shark arriving.” That man is Tom Watson, who enters the division currently ruled over by champion Ross Houston.

Other top contenders include Nicolas Dalby and Alex Lohoré, who will fight for the interim title at CW103 on March 9th, Adam Proctor, Aaron Khalid, Mark O. Madsen and Craig White, who has also recently joined the division from the UFC.

Watson has picked up multiple UK titles and secured both knockout and fight of the night honours during his UFC run, fighting on some of the promotion’s biggest cards alongside icons such as Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo. He’ll make his Cage Warriors debut in Cardiff on April 27th, an event headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Jack Shore and Scott Malone.

This will be the first time Watson has moved to welterweight after carving his MMA career at middleweight. Tickets for CW104 at the Viola Arena are on sale HERE.

‘Kong’ will also be meeting fans in London at the CW102 meet & greet on March 2nd alongside Dan Hardy and Edith Labelle.
