In one of the most anticipated fights of the year it certainly didn’t disappoint, it took Connor McGregor just 13 seconds to defeat Jose Aldo and become the new Featherweight Champion.
A huge left hook from McGregor followed by a few hammer fists caused Aldo to hit the canvas and McGregor to claim a KO victory in the very 1st round.
With the fastest knockout in a title fight McGregor made history even beating Ex Bantamweight Champ Ronda Rousey who’s record was 14 seconds.
McGregor ‘Nobody can take that left hand shot, I tell you he’s powerful and he’s fast but precision beats power, and timing beats speed and thats what you saw. I feel for Jose he’s a phenomenal champion, he was a phenomenal champion he deserved, we deserved to go a bit longer but… it would have happened sooner or later ‘
