In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpent of blood out to prove that his submission skills can strike with lethal force for foes that do not tread carefully. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2012 and representing Glory MMA and Fitness, Darrick Minner owns a 25-11 record through 36 professional fights comprised of 22 submissions, one knockout, and two decisions. Minner fought for numerous promotions including Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to making his debut with the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 27 in February 2020. He also appeared on week seven during the third season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2019. He has finished 23 out of his 25 wins during his journey as a pro-MMA fighter thus far.

At Disorderly Conduct 14 season’s beatings 1, he submitted James Smith via rear-naked choke in the first round. Minner also tapped out his next four opponents that included victories over Justin Morrison and DeAndrew Jones. Then at DCS 3 Fight Fest, he defeated Robert Flaherty via TKO in round one. Minner defeated William Osborne via unanimous decision at RFA 10. At RFA 13, he tapped out Austin Lyons in the first round via armbar. Minner submitted his next three foes that included wins over Tony Crowder and Shaine Moffitt. He defeated Marvin Blumer at RFA 24 via a unanimous decision. Minner tapped out Erik Vo via rear-naked choke in the first round at DCS 17. He submitted Matt Brown in round one at RFA 30.  At DCS 22, he tapped out Brandon Ball in round one via armbar. Minner submitted Bill Kamery via triangle choke in the first round at DCS 25 Spring Brawl 4. He tapped out his next three opponents that included wins over Will Shutt and Zakk Smith. At DCS 38, he submitted Chuka Willis in the first round.  Minner tapped out Joey Munoz in the second round via rear-naked choke at DCS 41. At Final Fight Championship 33, he tapped out Clay Collard via rear-naked choke in round one. Minner submitted Terrance McKinnley via triangle choke in the first round at MCF 18. He tapped out Charlie DuBray in round one at DCS 57.

For his second outing with the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 36, Minner submitted TJ Laramie in the first round. The victory earned Minner the 22nd submission win of his professional career along with his first win in the UFC. Able to lock on to submissions with his viper-like squeeze.
