The MMA world is like a train that steadily increases the speed as a fighter progresses through their respective journeys. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a freight train of the frozen lake whose powering punishment has him charging at full steam towards a mammoth year. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2019 and representing Spartan MMA and Wurk, Thomas Petersen holds an unbeaten 3-0 record as a professional with all three of his victories as a pro-MMA fighter coming via knockout. Petersen has finished every one of his wins with three first-round finishes. He is currently 2-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance. Petersen has yet to make it out of the opening round in his time thus far as a professional mixed martial artist, with each win coming in the span of five minutes or less in the period of a single round. Petersen has also fought for Driller Promotions, a regional MMA promotion based in his home state of Minnesota.

In his MMA debut at Driller Promotions Mecca 16, he faced BJ Lacy and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Petersen also defeated Brian Peterson via TKO in round one in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 82 to secure victory number one under the LFA banner.

Then in outing number two under the LFA banner at LFA 97, he defeated fellow knockout artist Kimo Luis via TKO in the first round. The victory earned Petersen the third knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up back to back victories under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance in the process along with his third straight round one finish in a row. With a knockout rate of 100 per cent, it’s full steam ahead for this freight train of fright!
