Kamaru Usman has jumped all the way up to number 4 in the P4P rankings, with only Jon Jones above him now. Following his devastating stating win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261, it is unsurprising to see such a jump, especially when you consider that he now holds wins over 4 of the top 5 in the welterweight division, 3 of those wins being stoppages. Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson is the only fighter ranked in the top 5 to be yet to face the champion however with Dana White seemingly targeting the rematch with Colby Covington, it may be a little while before we see those 2 square off.
There have understandably been a few shifts in the rankings, with Masvidal dropping to 5th in the welterweight rankings, moving Wonderboy up to 4th. However the biggest change to the welterweight rankings is the removal of former champion Tyron Woodley, who parted ways with the UFC just days ago. This follows his 4th straight loss after being submitted by now number 6 ranked Vicente Luque.
There were also some changes in the women’s P4P rankings, with Rose Namajunas jumping up to 3rd, only behind Valentina Shevchenko in 2nd and Amanda Nunes in 1st with Weili Zhang dropping down to 4th. Following her loss to the flyweight champion at UFC 261, former straw-weight champion Jessica Andrade has dropped to 6th behind Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
There were a few other small changes around the rankings, most notably probably being Zabit Magomedsharipov being removed from the featherweight rankings, the UFC is yet to comment on the removal of Sharipov, but this has meant that the rest of the featherweights have all moved up one place. The update also saw Uriah Hall moving from 9th up to 8th ahead of Kelvin Gastelum. This follows his win over Chris Weidman following a horrific compound fracture suffered by Weidman just 17 seconds into the fight, following a checked leg kick.
