A middleweight feud has been rapidly growing for some time now, as #8 ranked contender Sean Strickland and former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold have verbally agreed to face each other at UFC 268.

Sean Strickland (24-3) currently extended his win streak to 5 as he beat by decision long time veteran Uriah Hall. The outspoken middleweight has been improving his game for some time now as he has strung together dominant performances that show his growth as a fighter as one can see that sean has learned from his previous mistakes and is embarking on a run that will make him an undeniable title challenger.

As for Luke Rockhold (16-5) he has been out of commission since his 2019 KO loss to current Lighheavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz. While he has not been sitting idly by, Luke has been training extensively while working on his striking and grappling at the RVCA gym. Rockhold has been clamouring for a worthy opponent in his comeback fight and all he needed was Sean’s comments to set the fire and accept an opponent. At 36 years of age, some may wonder if the former #1 middleweight still has it, considering he is coming off 2 back to back knockout losses.

While no official word has been given by the UFC, it is safe to say this is a fight that could bring much attention to a division as we would have the rising contender vs the comeback if the once king.
