Fortis MMA continues to take talents and turn them into diamonds in the rough by polishing and refining its ever-expanding arsenal of firepower. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a flamethrower of intensive heat whose endless cycle of aggression has sent featherweights into a state of utter meltdown. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2017 and representing Fortis MMA, Austin Lingo owns a 9-1 record through 10 professional bouts comprised of four decisions, three knockouts, and two submissions. Lingo fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC 247 in February 2020. He has finished five out of his nine wins during his time as a pro-MMA fighter thus far. Lingo has gone to the scorecards four times during his pro career, sweeping the scorecards across the board all four times. He is currently 2-1  under the banner of the UFC.

In his MMA debut at LFA 16, he faced Charles Williams and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Lingo also defeated his next three opponents that included wins over Phil Gonzalez and Josh Foster. Then at LFA 55, he knocked out Aaron Webb in round one. Lingo tapped out Angel Cruz in the first round via a rear-naked choke at LFA 62. in the main event of LFA 73, he knocked out Solo Hatley Jr in the first round to pick up his third knockout win as a professional.

For his second appearance with the UFC at UFC On ABC 1, he defeated Jacob Kilburn via unanimous decision. Lingo defeated Luis Saldana via unanimous decision at UFC On ESPN 29. The win earned Lingo the fourth decision victory of his professional career. He also earned back-to-back wins under the UFC banner in the process. With plenty of one-punch power, Lingo can shut the lights off at the flick of a switch!
