Max ‘Mightymax’ Kashket 1-0-0 is an English amateur Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the Flyweight division, London Shootfighters. He has competed for Fightstar Championship and is making his debut for Battle Arena on September 24th.
I’d like to kick things off by thanking you for taking the time to speak with me today Max, and also to congratulate you on your inclusion to the Battle Arena Dunstable card.
“Thank you Aaron.”
I hope training camp has been going well in the build-up to your scheduled return to the cage?
“Yeah, everything’s been very good. I’m probably in the best shape I’ve ever been, strongest I’ve been, fittest I’ve been, most skilled I’ve been. I’m ready for whoever gets put in front of me to kill them.”
With September 24th looming and you making your final preparations for war, without giving too much away what has been your main focus throughout your rigorous training?
“Just making sure that I’m all rounded everywhere, making sure everything’s sharp and fit, all the stuff that needs to be done really. I don’t wanna give too much away, I may wrestle, I may strike, no one knows what’s coming.”
You are part of one of the most elite gyms in the country in London Shootfighters. From what I’ve seen from you guys, most recently at Contenders 33, you all take great pride in this fact and seem a strong unit in regards to watching out for each other on the day of the war. What does it mean to you to be part of London Shootfighters?
“It’s a big thing, we got past, present and future champions. Up-and-comers from what you saw at Contenders and Fightstar, Imran, Karson, there’s a lot of talent that’s coming from the gym. The good thing is, we’re all helping each other. We’re all a similar sort of size, Flyweight/Featherweight so we all help each other, we all cater to each other which is good.”
I completely agree, you really do have an elite squad of warriors there.
“Yeah, we’ve had UFC vets like John Hathaway, Bellator legends like Michael Page. We got boxers and world Heavyweight champions, the list goes on and on really”
September 24th will be your 2nd step into the lion’s den, your first was a victorious debut against ESKF’s Imran Hassan back at Fightstar Championship 21 in March. What did you take from your outstanding TKO/KO debut?
“If I’m being honest, Imran is one of the top prospects in the country at the moment at Flyweight, he’s a talented guy. For me to do what I did to him, it shows my level really. He’s no slouch, you see a lot of guys not really fighting high level opposition in their first fights. He might have only been 1-0 at the time but he’s a good fighter, I made good work of him, I was happy with my performance. The amount I’ve improved since then is scary, whoever is in there with me is gonna see.”
I have to agree, Imran is a very talented fighter. I got to witness his debut back at Fightstar Championship 20, definitely has a great future in the sport, you both do.
You look to replicate your debut and add another digit to your amateur record, this time with one of the UK’s most well-known regional shows Battle Arena. How did you feel when getting the offer to fight on such a prolific card?
“I was very happy to have got the call but to be honest, I wouldn’t have minded any call to fight. A professional organisation like Battle Arena, Fightstar, or Contenders, I’m happy to be on any of them as they’re all great shows. Battle Arena definitely stands out, it’s a very good show. I’ve been to one of their cards before, a great crowd, a few of my teammates are competing there also so I’m excited to be a part of it.”
You are set to face off against Anes Palani in a Flyweight Bout no one in attendance will want to miss. What are your thoughts on Anes as you prepare to collide at the Houghton Regis Leisure centre?
“I don’t really know too much about him but I’m ready for anything to be honest with you, whether it’s Flyweight or Bantamweight I’m ready. He can bring his best game but I know I’m ready.”
As previously stated, Battle Arena has certified its claim to being one of the UK’s greatest regional shows, with a whole host of prolific fighters and cards throughout its history. September 24th is no different, constricting yet another barn-burner of a night for the fans. Other than your inclusion on the night are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?
“Two of my teammates are going to be on the card also, Kerry and Alexandra. They haven’t fought before but they are very good at what they do, looking forward to seeing them. Other than that I haven’t really looked too much into the card if I’m honest more focused on myself. But I’m sure there will be some great fights, I’m not sure If there will be a Flyweight title fight but if there is I’ll be very interested to watch that.”
To set some plans for the future for yourself no doubt?
“Yeah, one hundred percent.”

“I’m looking forward to seeing you too Aaron, if you’re gonna be there, possibly get another interview in.”
“If I’m there, definitely mate.”

“I just wanna say thank you to everyone that will come to see my bout, it really means a lot. I’d like to give a special shout-out to my coaches Alexis and Paul. To my main teammates Imran, Karson, Marouan and Malik I am very happy with them, thank you to everyone who’s been there.”
