The fearsome females of the women’s strawweight division seem to increase their fury in order to demonstrate that MMA is not a battle of the sexes. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a tar heel of the south ready to reawaken the division with a thunderous jolt. A professional since October 2013 and representing Embrace Martial Arts and Elite Athletics, Hannah Cifers owns a 9-3 record in 12 career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts and four decisions. Prior to making her debut appearance with the UFC in 2018, Cifers competed with various promotions including Titan Fighting Championship and has finished five of her nine professional victories.
At Dead Serious MMA, she defeated Rachel Sazoff via TKO in the first round. Cifers also defeated her next two opponents via decision in Miki Rogers at Fight Lab 50 and Ronni Nanney at Fight Lab 52 respectively. Then at Next Level Fight Club 8, she knocked out Nicole Smith in the first round. In her debut appearance with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC, 46 Cifers defeated Andrea Soraluz via TKO in the second round. For her second and final outing with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 47, she defeated Brazil’s Thais Souza via unanimous decision. Cifers defeated Celine Haga via TKO in round one at Jackson Wink-MMA Fight Night 3. She also defeated Kali Robbins via TKO in the first round at Next Level Fight Club 9 to earn her fifth knockout win as a professional.
In her second appearance with the UFC at UFC 235, Cifers faced Brazil’s Polyana Viana and defeated her via split decision to earn her first victory with the UFC. The win also earned Cifers the fourth decision victory of her professional career. At 26 years old and dangerously well rounded, This strawweight shockwave is ripping through the division like a deadly lightning storm!
