Across the Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Tywan Claxton

In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a explosive and dynamic knockout specialist looking to right the ship and turn Bellator MMA’S featherweight division on it’s head with a statement victory at Bellator 235 on December 20 and show once again why he is one of the promotion’s top up and comers at 145 pounds in their return to the big island of Hawaii live on Paramount Network from the Neil S Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii.  A professional since November 2017 and representing Warehouse Warriors, Tywan Claxton owns a 5-1 record in six contests as a professional comprised of four knockouts and one decision. Claxton has spent the whole of his tenure as a professional with Bellator MMA and has finished four of his five wins in his tenure as a professional thus far.

In his MMA debut at Bellator 186, he knocked out Johny Bonilla Bowman in the first round. Claxton also defeated Jose Antonio Perez via TKO in round two at Bellator 194. Then at Bellator 204, he faced Cris Lencioni and defeated him via unanimous decision to pick up his lone decision win as a professional to date. Claxton defeated Kaeo Meyer at Bellator 212 via TKO in the first round, At Bellator 221 he faced James Bennett and went on to defeat him via TKO in round three to make it five in a row with Bellator MMA.

in his next outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 235 on December 20, Claxton will face Braydon Akeo in a featherweight contest that will serve as the main card opener on Paramount Network.  Bellator 235 will also mark the beginning of a Hawaiian doubleheader. Good luck Tywan!
