Across the Pond Profile: UFC fighter Lyman Good

it can take many moons for a mixed martial artist to make it to the big show in the world of MMA. in today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a czar of the east coast looking to carve through the UFC‘S welterweight ranks with the sharpness of a surgeon’s scalpel. A professional since October 2005 and representing Team Tiger Schulmann, Lyman Good owns a 21-5-1 record in a26 professional bouts comprised of 11 knockouts, seven decisions three submissions and a no contest. Prior to making his debut with the UFC in 2015, Good fought for various promotions including CFFC and Bellator MMA.

In his MMA debut at ROC 9, he faced Adam Fearon and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Good also defeated his next five foes that included wins over Mike Dolce and Julio Cruz. Then at ROC 18, he defeated Alex Aquino via unanimous decision. Good submitted Hector Urbina in the second round via rear-naked choke at Bellator 2. He also defeated Omar de la Cruz and Jorge Cruz. Good defeated Chris Lozano via unanimous decision at Bellator 35. At Bellator 65 he knocked out LeVon Maynard in the first round. Good defeated Jim Wallhead via unanimous decision at Bellator 74. At Bellator 78 he defeated Russia’s Michail Tsarev via TKO in the second round. In his final Bellator MMA appearance at Bellator 95, Good faced Dante Rivera and defeated him via unanimous decision. He knocked out The Ultimate Fighter season 16 alumni Matt Secor in round one in the main event of CFFC 36. Good tapped out Micah Terrill via rear-naked choke in the first round at CFFC 45. He also submitted Nah Shon Burrell in round one via rear-naked choke in the headliner of CFFC 48.

In his debut with the UFC at UFN 71, Good faced Andrew Craig and went on to knock him out in the second round. He also knocked out Ben Saunders in round one at UFC 230. Good defeated Chance Rencountre via TKO in the third round at UFC 244 to earn the 11th knockout victory of his professional career. Fearless inside and out, this bull of the empire state can get downright nasty if he gets grabbed by the horns!
