EFC champ added to MMA Battle Arena 59

MMA Battle Arena has added an EFC lightweight champion to their March card in Birmingham.
Local fighter Joe Cummins returns home after fighting in South Africa for the past five years. Cummins won the lightweight strap last March when he beat Martin van Staden by unanimous decision in Pretoria, South Africa. MMA Battle Arena takes place on March 7th at the Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston Stadium in what is sure to be a great night of action.
MMA Battle Arena told MMA UK, “MMA Battle Arena are proud to announce that Battle Arena 59 will be headlined by the EFC Lightweight World Champion, Joe ‘Silk’ Cummins (6-1). Joe will be facing the Brazilian, Ricardo Morais, as he looks to extend his winning streak to four. Silk was last seen winning gold in Africa’s premier MMA promotion, with a dominant victory over Martin van Staden, he now graces the famous black canvas at Edgbaston Stadium on March 7th.

“To witness the homecoming of one of Britain’s most explosive fighters, you can purchase tickets from https://bit.ly/2Hg6Ey3“You won’t want to miss this.”

Brummie Cummins, took to social media to explain why he was taking a fight with another promotion.
“Due to circumstances out of our hands we won’t be defending the EFC title until later this year. That being said I still need and want to fight and will be able to in my home town! Thanks to James Price, we’ve been able to secure an opponent to fight in Birmimgham on short notice.
“The team and myself would love to have your support on my first fight back in Birmingham on the 7th of March.
There’ll be an announcement pretty soon with further details on tickets and venue.
Thank you all for your continued support and loyalty.”
Cummins has fought six times for EFC, winning five and just the one loss.
