Across the Pond Profile: CFFC featherweight champion James Gonzalez

You can shock the world on any given weekend if MMA happens to become your chosen craft. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a bull-like long arm of the law whose reputation of upsetting the apple cart on any and every given weekend has him prepared and ready to issue speedy and swift verdicts in Cage Fury Fighting Championships with the fierceness of an east coast winter storm. A professional since March 2016 and representing LAW MMA, James Gonzalez owns a 6-3 record in nine professional bouts comprised of two submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. Gonzalez is the current Cage Fury Fighting Championships featherweight champion and has also fought for Ring Of Combat. He has gone on to finish four of his six professional victories with four of the six coming within three rounds and two have gone the distance in his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far.

At Ring Of Combat 55, he faced William Calhoun iii and went to defeat him via unanimous decision. Gonzalez submitted Anthony Facchini via kimura in the third round at Ring Of Combat 56. Then at Ring Of Combat 58, he tapped out Tevin Cooke in the second round via triangle choke. Gonzalez also defeated Mike Lawrence at Ring Of Combat 59 via unanimous decision to earn his second decision win as a professional.

In his debut appearance with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 77, he took on Georgi Kudukashvili and defeated him via TKO in the first round. For the main event of CFFC 81 Gonzalez defeated submission specialist Pat Sabatini via TKO in round one to become the CFFC featherweight champion. He also picked up the second knockout victory of his professional career in the process. It is always best to be quick on the draw when locking horns with this east coast firecracker of red rage!
