Across the Pond Profile: Lights Out Championship fighter Cody Bundage

If you are a prospect on the slow and steady trend upward, there is a high chance the regional MMA scene in your home state was the first brick that was laid down in the foundation. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a charging wolverine bearing his fangs of blood in hopes of signing his name on the dotted line with the UFC. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2019 and representing Scorpion Fighting Systems under head coach James Gray, Cody Bundage owns an undefeated 5-0 professional record comprised of three knockouts, one submission, and one decision. Bundage has competed with various regional promotions in his home state of Michigan including Lights Out Championship and has earned a finish in four out of his five professional victories with the bulk of those wins coming inside of round one and has made it on to the scorecards just once during his career as a pro-MMA fighter thus far.

In his MMA debut at Lights Out Championship 3, he faced Jessie Walthers and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Bundage knocked out Mike Johnson in round one at Motor City Cagefights 6. Then at Caged Thunder 9, he defeated Josh Kirzan via TKO in the second round. For the main event of Lights Out Championship 6, Bundage defeated Erick Lozano via unanimous decision to pick up his first and only decision win as a professional.

At Lights Out Championship 7, he defeated Lozano for the second time via arm-triangle choke in the first round. The win earned Bundage the first submission victory of his professional career along with win number five to begin his journey into the pro ranks. With an 80 percent finishing rate, this scorpion possesses an icy sting that causes opponents to become chilled over with the passage of time!
