Across The Pond Profile: Legacy Fighting Alliance fighter Mark Martin

Many wrestlers from the college ranks have transitioned very well to the MMA world. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet the latest college crossover showing the LFA welterweight ranks that his style of showtime is worth the price of admission. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2018 and representing The MMA Lab, Mark Martin owns a 5-1 record through six professional bouts comprised of two submissions, two decisions, and one knockout. Martin fought for Iron Tiger Fight Series and V3 Fights prior to debuting under the LFA banner at LFA 86 in July 2020, He is currently 2-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance and has finished three out of his five victories during his time as a pro-MMA fighter so far with three first-round finishes. Martin has made it onto the scorecards twice during his time in the professional ranks, winning unanimously in both instances.

In his MMA debut at V3 Fights 68, he tapped out Mark Kolker in the first round via rear-naked choke. Martin also submitted Travis Hussey via armbar in round one at Iron Tiger Fight Series 86. Then at Iron Tiger Fight Series 88, he defeated Trent McCown via unanimous decision. Martin defeated Tony Grant via TKO in the first round in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 86 during the opening phase of the promotion’s 2020 reboot in South Dakota and picked up the lone knockout win on his professional docket thus far.

For his second outing under the LFA banner at LFA 96, he defeated Matthew Colquhoun via unanimous decision. The victory earned Martin the second decision win of his professional career. He also picked up back to back victories under the LFA banner in the process. Once the lights begin to dim and the cage door closes, showtime can truly begin with a bang!
