Jon Jones giving Dana the cold shoulder

Jon Jones,  faces Daniel Cormier in a rematch at UFC 214 for the UFC light heavyweight title in Anaheim, Calif., on Saturday, however he sorted out terms for the fight without Dana White, “Bones” says he considers WME-IMG CEO Ari Emanuel to be in charge of the UFC.
According to Jones, there has been a  year-long silence between he and Dana White and it was his choosing.. “Dana White has reached out to me on at least four occasions, and I haven’t answered any of his calls or any of his text messages — that’s the reason we haven’t spoken,”

The pair have not interacted since the infamous failed drug test at UFC 200, when Dana claimed Jones would never headline a UFC event again. The UFC 214 press conference on Wednesday is the first time the two men have had some interaction!

This is not the only incident of White showing annoyance at the former Champion, White fired shots at Jones and Greg Jackson camp over refusing to take a short notice fight with Chanel Sonnen at UFC 151, this causes the event to be cancelled, the first time in UFC history. This was followed by the also infamous hit and run incident which led to Jones being suspended indefinitely and stripped of his belt.

Even with all of Jones horrendous behaviours in the UFC which would of seen a lesser draw removed from the organisation, Jones doesn’t believe he has received the support he should have from White.

“I just feel like when you’re making the company money and you’re a pay-per-view draw and you’re ultimately putting money in his pocket, then you mean a lot to him,”

“The moment you aren’t those things, you mean nothing to him, and he’s done a decent job of showing that. I felt completely abandoned by him … in a situation when I needed him the most.”

“I feel like he’s shown me his true colors, and now I have no desire to pretend like he cares about me or that we’re friends,”

What are your thoughts on this! Is Dana’ treatments of Jones fair or does the former champ still deserve support from the organisation who employs him?
