The UFC‘S Flyweight division is flooded with prospects jockeying for position. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a California lion looking to maintain his unbeaten record in enemy territory at UFN 125 on February 3. A professional since December 2014 and representing Team Alpha Male, 23 year old Joseph Morales owns a 9-0 record consisting of five submissions, two knockouts and two decisions. Joseph is the latest prospect to be brought into the UFC thanks to Dana White’s Looking For A Fight.
In his MMA debut at WSOF 16, Joseph defeated Christian Espinosa via unanimous decision. Then he defeated Roque Reyes via TKO in the first round. At WFC 14, Joseph submitted Benji Gomez in the second round via rear naked choke. He also tapped out Gerald Bailey in round one via guillotine choke at GKO 4. Joseph submitted his next two opponents in Sammy Saunders and Gerald Bailey respectively. At GKO 8, he defeated Josh Paiva via unanimous decision. At CFFC 64 Joseph defeated Sean Santella via TKO in the second round and earned his ticket to the UFC in the process. In his UFC debut at UFN 114, he submitted Roberto Sanchez in the first round and earned Performance of the Night in the process. For his second UFC appearance Joseph will head into enemy territory to face Brazilian Deiveson Figueiredo in a battle of undefeated Flyweight prospects at UFN 125 on February 3. Good luck Joseph!
