PFL MMA Professional Fighters League has a new home for 2019 on ESPN. As a person who has seen the evolution of PFL MMA first hand, sitting on press row, in my opinion the best seats in the house. This is a huge and exciting move.
From PFL MMA first fight card at the world renowned Madison Square Garden in NYC, to their championships New Years Eve, back at MSG, you can tell PFL is truly something special.
Revolutionary for a growing sport, as far as the mainstream audience, PFL is MMA “re-imagined,” and they are living up to that slogan.
Professional Fighters League, kicks off in just a few short months on the leading sports network, and rising combat sports platform ESPN.
May 9th 2019, will be the start of their regular season, where we will be introduced to some new faces, and see some familiar faces from last season. The other big change to PFL is the addition of a female 155 lb (Lightweight) division where Kayla Harrison has solidified she is one to look out for this year.
Beginning in September, PFL starts their road to the playoffs, we will get a closer look into who will be fighting for PFL gold.
In October the dream becomes a bigger reality, PFL MMA goes into their playoffs, where fighters compete for a spot in the championships, in a tournament style 3 playoff events. Their playoffs will be single elimination, with their “fight twice, win twice format”.
Like last year, PFL MMA championships will be back on New Year’s Eve the biggest night in the year meets the biggest fight card of the year. What a winning combination!!
