In a somewhat surprising move, Conor McGregor reportedly doubled his net worth in the sale of his popular whiskey brand, Proper 12.

The former two-division UFC champion and his business partner, Audie Attar, launched the whiskey brand in 2018. The company was a quick financial success, posting $1billion in sales in its first year.

According to a report from Joe.co.uk, the two sold their combined stakes in the company for £112million, to Becle, a Mexican beverages company who helped launch the company in 2018.

While it is still unclear if McGregor will continue to play a role within the company going forward, it is reported that the ‘Notorious’ has doubled his net worth, making him richer than ever.

Despite the financial success, McGregor seems to be fully focused on his MMA career.

According to Dana White, the trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor will take place this summer, following Poirier’s TKO win over McGregor in January.

”He’s in great spirits, well actually he sold the spirits so he is in really good financial spirits,” McGregor’s long-time coach John Kavanaugh recently told BT Sport, seemingly confirming McGregor’s sale of Proper No. Twelve.
