Holloway vs Rodriguez set for striking masterclass on UFC Fight Night July 17th

Former UFC featherweight champion Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway came off arguably the most impressive win of his career against Calvin Kattar. Holloway cemented his legacy as one of the 145-pounders GOATS, despite his two prior losses to current reigning champion Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski.

Yair ‘El Pantera’ Rodriguez has been on a rocky road as of recently, his last outing was a rematch against Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens which was awarded a Fight of the Night in a unanimous decision win for Rodriguez. He was later scheduled to fight a long overdue Zabit Magomedsharipov, but as fate had it El Pantera had to withdraw due to an ankle injury, I get a Khabib, Ferguson vibe around that fight.

The string of bad news continued for Rodriguez, unfortunately. On December 3rd 2020 UFC anti-doping agency USADA issued a 6-month suspension to the featherweight fighter due to failing to notify his whereabouts and being unavailable for drug testing to USADA. Yair has now been eligible to resume fighting from March 8th 2021.

This summer we will see the GOAT of the featherweight division in a forward pushing, non-stop striking, Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway go up against Mexico’s dynamic striking and pinpoint precision of Yair ‘El Pantera’ Rodriguez.

This one is a must-see!
