A matchup between UFC Bantamweights Montel Jackson and Danaa Batgerel is scheduled for March 26th at UFC Columbus, per management firm Iridium Sports Agency.

Whilst originally targeted for September 18th 2021 at UFC Vegas 37, visa complications rendered Danaa ‘Storm’ Batgerel unable to fight. Montel ‘Quik’ Jackson subsequently faced replacement fighter JP Buys; winning via unanimous decision, Jackson also set the record for most knockdowns in a single UFC Bantamweight fight (4).

Fighting out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, American Montel Jackson made his UFC debut in August 2018 at UFC 227. Holding a UFC record of 5-2, the 29-year-old meets Batgerel riding a two-fight win streak, following a TKO and unanimous decision victory over Jesse Strader and JP Buys respectively.

Hailing from Erdenetsagaan, Danaa Batgerel is the UFC’s first Mongolian fighter. Despite losing his promotional debut to Heili Alateng via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 157, the 32-year-old has since amassed a sensational three-fight win streak, with all bouts ending via stoppage (2 TKO/1 KO) in the first round.

With both Jackson and Batgerel yet to lose a professional fight via stoppage, this bout promises to deliver an exciting contest.
