The 28-year-old last fought at UFC 264, July 10th 2021, where du Plessis earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus following a knockout defeat of Trevin Giles. With a professional record of 16-2, the South African has fought thirteen fights with Extreme Fighting Championship, three fights with Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki, and two fights with the UFC.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Chris ‘The Action Man’ Curtis made his promotional debut at UFC 268, November 6th 2021, defeating Phil Hawes via first round knockout. In less than one month, the 34-year-old returned at UFC Vegas 44, defeating Brendan Allen via TKO to earn a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus. Fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, the American holds a professional record of 28-8, and enters UFC 273 riding a seven fight win-streak.
With both Middleweights holding promotional records of 2-0, all via stoppage, du Plessis vs Curtis promises to be a sensational contest.
