BRAVE CF announces nominees for Breakout Fighter of The Year award

2022 was a “coming out party” year for many stars, reassuring that the future of BRAVE Combat Federation is in good hands. A handful of athletes have proved they’re the next generation of BRAVE CF stars.

Murtaza Talha, Maysara Mohammed, Issa Isakov, Axel Sola, and Nkosi Ndebele have done enough to secure their nominations for BRAVE CF 2022 Breakout Fighter of the Year award.

A former amateur world champion, Bahrain’s Murtaza Talha successfully transferred the promise he showed in the amateur ranks to the professional leagues. In 2022 he continued on an upward trajectory this year with two quick round-one submission finishes over Mikheil Sazhiniani and Kirill Khomitsky at BRAVE CF 57 and 62, respectively.

Egypt’s Flyweight Maysara Mohammed got the BRAVE CF brain-trust attention early in 2022 with a blistering knockout win over Mohammad Farhad in March last year before fighting to a hard-fought draw against Frieh Harahsheh at BRAVE CF 65 in October 2022 – a battle he would have won had it not been for a point deduction.

Issa Isakov, from Belgium, has crept into the hearts of BRAVE Nation fans as he recorded a three-fight win streak (two KO/TKOs and one unanimous decision) in the most-global MMA promotion in 2022 and joined old foe Ahmed Labban as the record-holders for most Super Lightweight victories, with both having three victories up to 165lbs.

Axel Sola has left everybody in the BRAVE CF Welterweight, Super Lightweight, and Lightweight divisions on the edge of their seats heading into 2023 with two unanimous decision victories and one TKO win last year, as the number one amateur fighter in the world, pound-for-pound, continues his development as a professional.

South Africa’s Nkosi Ndebele is well on his way to a Bantamweight title fight in 2023 following his great 2022 run that saw him overcome Colombia’s Eduardo Mora and Indonesia’s Fajar via unanimous decision and KO/TKO at BRAVE CF 60 and 66, respectively.
