Patterson tapped out Vinicius Sacchelli Cenci in the second round via rear-naked choke on the season finale of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series to notch a UFC contract.
In his second appearance under the UFC banner on the preliminary card of UFC 297, he submitted Yohan Lainesse in round one via rear-naked choke. Patterson tapped out Keifer Crosbie via arm-triangle choke in the first round at UFC 304 to earn the seventh submission win of his professional career along with back-to back victories and finishes under the UFC banner.
