Conor McGregor has reacted after losing $500,000 on a bet he placed on Michael Chandler to beat Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314. The exciting co-main event took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, where Pimblett took control and finished Chandler with a third-round TKO. Sadly, McGregor made the wrong bet and is now facing the biggest financial loss.
Conor McGregor’s Reaction to the Huge Money Loss
The 30-year-old fighter continued his winning streak with a great TKO win over Michael Chandler. After the win, Pimblett moved up to No. 8 in the rankings.
However, UFC star Conor McGregor didn’t bet on him. McGregor recently lost $500,000 after betting against Liverpool’s MMA star. But Pimblett delivered one of his best performances yet by beating Chandler in the third round at UFC 314 in Miami.
The former UFC double champion personally said that his past with Chandler and the betting odds made him place the bet, even though he felt Pimblett had the advantage.
On social media, McGregor called out Chandler, “Chandler you m********* you! Rest up, fair play. My history with Mike and the odds on him by KO swayed me to take the risk… So happy days, ya’s’r welcome. Ah well, what’s $500,000 to an M G like me, can you please remind me? More than your purse. Thanks.”
Chandler you motherfooker you! Rest up, fair play.
My history with Mike and the odds on him by KO swayed me to take the risk.

$500K is not a small amount, but there’s nothing to do now since the bet loss has happened. It’s really surprising that, even though he believed Pimblett was on the stronger side, fans are still wondering why he bet on Chandler.
Paddy Pimblett Responds to Conor McGregor
Paddy Pimblett is clearly feeling the emotions after Conor McGregor’s bet against him. Surprisingly, it seems like he’s enjoying the drama, especially since McGregor went all-in on Chandler to win. It’s easy to understand why Paddy would be fired up—after all, McGregor bet against him.

Paddy responded confidently, saying, “Anyone can get it, all the names I mentioned. And even McGregor, putting money on Chandler to win, lad. The Irish/scouse connection, lad, he’s meant to back me, and he never. So, if he wants it, he’ll get muftied as well.”
However, later, Paddy also admitted that it surprised him because he didn’t think Conor would go against him. He genuinely thought McGregor would back him.
