Kam Cheng fights Richard Dickson in an immediate rematch at Headhunters Fighting Championship on June 3rd. This time they are both fighting for the flyweight title.
MMAUK caught up with Cheng ahead of the fight for his take on the match up.
MMAUK: You beat Dickson at the last Headhunters event, how do you see this one going?
KC: I am confident in my skills as a martial artist to take home the win and the belt.
MMAUK: You won the Forza Fighting Championship flyweight belt last year, will this give you an edge going into another title fight?
KC: I learnt a lot from winning the Forza title and I think the experience will aid me in this next challenge.
MMAUK: Dickson is tall for a flyweight does this make fighting him more awkward than most flyweights?
KC: Me and my coach and team are always prepared and ready for anything, so his height is just a normal thing to consider in the fight.
MMAUK: Do you have any ambitions of turning pro, or do you plan on sticking around at amateur level?
KC: Yes I definitely have ambitions in turning pro. I plan to defend my belts for a number of times first and get good experience at amateur level before moving up.
MMAUK: Do you have a message for Dickson ahead of the bout?
KC: Ready to rumble with you in the cage, see you soon and have a good fight camp.
