UFC fighter Michael Chiesa is suing Conor McGregor for the infamous bus attack at the Barclays Center in New York earlier this year, according to online court records.
Chiesa filed the lawsuit in Kings County on Monday in which he states he suffered “severe emotional distress, mental trauma and/or bodily harm.”
He’s also going after the Barclay’s Center for negligence, claiming they failed “to engage in proper security measures to protect the plaintiff and other patrons.”
McGregor was arrested after the attack, but only ended up with community service despite being charged with criminal mischief and three counts of misdemeanour assault.
McGregor is getting ready to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in his first UFC fight since 2016, with the Irishman yet to fight since his boxing defeat to Floyd Mayweather a year ago.
