A professional mixed martial artist since March 2020 and representing Lidus MMA, Trey Waters holds a 8-1 record in nine bouts comprised of three knockouts, three submissions and two decisions. Waters appeared on week seven during the sixth season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2022. He fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 45 in April 2023. Waters has finished six out of his eight victories during his time in the professional ranks and is 1-0 under the UFC banner.
In his MMA debut at Combat Night Pro 18 Duval, he submitted Ramon Butts in round one. Waters defeated Sean Hotusing via technical knockout in the first round at Combat Night Pro 21. Then at Combat Night Pro 22, he tapped out Sedric Johnson in round three via rear-naked choke. Waters defeated Heirberto Tovar via unanimous decision. He submitted Ellias Ramirez in the second round at Combat Night Pro Jacksonville. Waters knocked out Benjamin Bennett in round three in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 133. He knocked out Jalin Fuller in the second round in the main event of LFA 156 to earn his third knockout win as a professional.
In the opening main card bout of UFC On ESPN 45, Waters defeated Josh Quinlan via unanimous decision. The win earned Waters the second decision victory of his professional career in addition to his first UFC win in the process. Waters is one keeper of the tides whose storm surge is just beginning to reach its crest!
