LNK Fight Night 16: Zaur Dzhavadov to face Racim Batouche for WKN International middleweight title on August 29 in Riga

WKN European middleweight champion Zaur Dzhavadov will headline LNK Fight Night 16, taking place at Studio69 in Riga, Latvia on Saturday, August 29. The event, presented by Vadim Milov and Eugene Sapronenko, follows “The Welter 8” boxing fight card held in July.

Azerbaijani-Latvian Dzhavadov is set to face Racim Batouche of France in a championship bout with WKN International middleweight title on the line. The contest is pending approval of international travel amid coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Zaur Dzhavadov last fought in July 2019, scoring a unanimous decision against Giorgi Kankava in a three-round international non-title matchup. Prior to that he claimed WKN European middleweight belt by knockout in the fourth round against Jozef Kolodzej.

This past April Dzhavadov was scheduled to contest for World Kickboxing Network Middleweight Gold against an opponent, who was planned to be determined mid March in a four-man Grand Prix at Boxing Fighters System 2 in Nimes, France. Both events didn’t go ahead due to pandemic.

Racim Batouche was in action early March at Villejuif Boxing Show 2 in Villejuif, France. He won the fight against Nesman Tra via first-round stoppage.

The rest of LNK Fight Night 16 card will see a series of boxing bouts.
