On September 5th, Bellator go head-to-head for much of the evening with the UFC as both promotions have huge events happening on the same night!
Bellator 123, which kicks off the organization’s 11th season, includes a main card start time of 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT), an hour earlier than its usual slot on Spike TV, officials today announced.
Bellator 123 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. A short jaunt away, UFC Fight Night 50 takes place at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Conn., the same night. The UFC’s main card kicks off at 9 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
The 14-bout Bellator 123 lineup also includes 10 preliminary-card bouts on Spike.com.
The main event features featherweight champion Pat Curran (20-5 MMA, 10-2 BMMA) vs. Patricio Freire (21-2 MMA, 9-2 BMMA), and heavyweights Cheick Kongo (21-9-2 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) and Lavar Johnson (18-9 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) meet in the co-headliner.
