UFC officially announced Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs. Tony Ferguson for UFC 209
The co-main event for UFC 209 is now set, as unbeaten Khabib Nurmagomedov battles surging former Ultimate Fighter winner Tony Ferguson on Mar. 4 for the interim UFC lightweight championship.
Nurmagomedov (24-0) has smashed his way through the competition winning eight straight fights since joining the UFC in 2012.
Ferguson (22-3) has won nine consecutive bouts, his last fight a unanimous decision over Rafael dos Anjos in November.
In the main event of UFC 209, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and No. 1 contender Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson settle their score in a highly anticipated rematch. Tickets go on sale on Jan. 20,
