UK’s Double K Gym Signs Exclusive Partnership With Fightlab

Rising combat sports gear company becomes outfitter for UK’s No. 1 training facility

Mixed martial arts and muay Thai kickboxing gym Double K Gym have signed an exclusive partnership with Fightlab the fastest rising fight gear provider worldwide. Located in Kent in the United Kingdom, the Double K Gym has produced a number of top fighters in both adult and junior categories in recent years.

 

Fightlab CEO Owen Barrett flew to the UK to finalize the deal between the two groups, and it will see the Thailand-based fight gear company produce gear specifically for the gym. The exclusive deal will see the new Double K Gym facility in Bromley use only Fightlab produced equipment. All material in the new facility will be co-branded with the Fightlab and Double K Gym logos.

 

Voted the UK’s top gym in 2016, the Double K Gym continues to go from strength to strength. With a growing membership of more than 350 members, the group hopes to continue its run of producing championship fighters.

 

Double K Gym owner Kieran Keddle has been training world-class fighters at the gym since 2013. Keddle travelled the globe as a professional muay Thai kickboxer and trained with some of the best trainers in the world. His career began at the age of 12 and by the time he was 18, he had won three British Championships. In 78 fights, Keddle won 54 times and collected a number championship titles. The veteran fighter’s current challenge is to produce the best fighters in the UK and has been has also trained on television as the Muay Thai trainer of actor Idris Elba on the Discovery Channel show Idris Elba: Fighter.

 

One of those top fighters that trains with Double K Gym is Charlie “Boy” Peters. The Kent-born muay Thai fighter not only trains at the Bromley facility, but he is one of its instructors.

 

The Fightlab sponsored fighter is set for a marquee bout in April 1st when he takes part in a muay thai fight in London’s O2 arena at Muay Thai Grand Prix. Peters will co-headline the show as it will be watched by thousands of people in the UK. The exposure for both Fightlab and the Double K Gym will be a landmark moment for the two groups.

 

As the fastest growing fight gear provider in the world today, Fightlab will have its own dedicated store in the new Double K Gym in Bromley. The group’s rise as a dedicated fight apparel company has seen it go from humble beginnings in 2010 to sponsoring star fighters from around the world. From in ring or octagon items like gloves, shinguards and shorts to tracksuits and t-shirts, Fightlab has become one of the top players in the world of combat sports clothing.

 

Current MMA and Bellator competitor Paul “Semtex” Daley, BAMMA fighter Terry Brazier and Muay Thai and K-1 fighter Kevin Ward are also sponsored by Fightab. All three are top professionals in combat sports and give Fightlab an opportunity to work with fighters in multiple disciplines.
