The UFC are expected to announce that Jessica Andrade will make her first defence of the straw weight title against Weili Zhang at UFC Shenzen.

Andrade defeated Rose Namajunas at UFC 237. In her post fight interview Namajunas hinted at retirement with many expecting Namajunas to have an immediate rematch if she decided to continue.

Namajunas had started the fight well only to be knocked out as Andrsde slammed her to the canvas.

The good news is that it looks like Namajunas will be continuing her career. She was wanting a rematch but has a neck injury to contend with meanwhile.

Namajunas’ manager Brian Butler has said Rose plans to fight by the end of the year. With the Andrade-Zheng bout due to take place in August, the fight would be to soon in her recovery.

“Rose was definitely interested in the rematch however right now she is taking time to heal up,” Butler said in a statement to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. “She had a neck injury before her last fight and now is just gong to take the time to take care of herself and get back to 100%. Her plan is to fight sometime by the end of this year. When Rose decides to come back she will come back better than ever.”
