Michelle Waterson vs Marina Rodriguez is set as the new main event for UFC Vegas 26 after former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw pulled out of his fight against Cory Sandhagen.
It has been a week since the fight of two bantamweights was scratched from the Vegas card. There has been a talk of Sandhagen getting a new opponent after Dillashaw pulled out. But UFC officially went with Michelle Waterson vs. Marina Rodriguez.
Waterson, who is (18-8), is coming off from an impressive split-decision victory over Angela Hill back in September. Whereas Marina Rodriguez, who is (13-1-2) in her MMA career, will be moving up to the 125-pound division for their main event on Saturday.
Rodriguez’s last victory came in January when she defeated Amanda Ribas via TKO in the second round.
The co-main event also got replaced in the UFC Vegas 26 card, following the release of Diego Sanchez. The new co-main event will now be Donald Cerrone vs. Alex Morono.
