Jack Hermansson vs Edmen Shahbazyan off UFC 262, pushed back a week to Fight Night card

A change has been made to Saturday’s UFC 262 fight card with a middleweight fight between Jack Hermansson and Edmen Shahbazyan being moved to the UFC event on May 22 instead.

The news was announced by Marcel Dorff and shortly confirmed by Shahbazyan himself.

The middleweight fight, originally on the books for Saturday’s UFC 262 main card in Houston, will now take place one week later, at UFC Fight Night 188 on May 22. The event is scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Both Hermansson and Shahbayzan are looking to get back into the win column after recent losses.

Hermansson (21-6) has dropped two of three following a four-fight winning streak. The Sweden native who fights out of Norway fell to Marvin Vettori via unanimous decision in December during his most recent outing. Hermansson, 32, sports an 8-4 UFC record.

Shahbazyan meanwhile suffered his first career loss in 12 outings at UFC Fight Night 173, where he lost to Derek Brunson via third-round TKO. The Dana White’s Contender Series alumni began his UFC tenure with four straight triumphs, finishing three of those inside one round.
